Mass Effect: Revelation is the first novel based on the Mass Effect game series, it was released in May 2007. The book is a prequel to the Mass Effect Trilogy. It follows the story of one of the Systems Alliance's most promising, young soldiers called David Anderson. It's set in 2157, just nine years after the Humans discovered alien technology buried on Mars. It follows David Anderson through his training at N7, The First Contact War and discovering the Citadel. It also introduces Saren as a young, talented and ruthless Spectre.
